Doritaenopsis La Reine de Porcelaine (Dtps. Bright Cherry x Phal. Sunrise Red Peoker) registered by R. Janke in 2009

It's a very dark, almost red-black flower, very thick substance, long inflorescence, very vigorous and many thick, healthy roots. The leaves are lighter green, very thick (suppose the Doritis influence). Flowers almost always... one of my favs :)

R. Janke is a friend of ours and he made the cross (see registration). Last week we visited him (we live 300km apart from each other) and we got that dark variation. We already have anther quite dark seedling but that one is especially dark red.
Thank's for your compliment :)

Yes, very beautiful. It reminds me of the color of some red irises. How big is it?

Thanks, Lou.
The orchid is from stubstrate to top inflorescence about 50cm (that's also the height of the longest inflorescence, the second one 42cm), it is 35cm wide and the flower appr. 4,5cm in diameter. Hope that helps ;)
